Waking Up

Waking up early is a trait I learned the hard way. I grew up waking up late. I was one of the lucky kids in the neighborhood who went to a half-day school where classes started at 11:30 am from elementary to high school. In college, I scheduled all my classes so none of them started before 12pm. When I started working, my first job had a flexible schedule where you can come in anytime you want, do 9 hours, and go home.

Waking up early is a trait I had to learn the hard way.

The most important things to take note of when you wake up is how energized you are and how rested you feel. Remember, how you feel at the start of the day greatly affects how the rest of your day goes!

Like going to bed, there is a lot of control you can exercise over what time you wake up, how refreshed you feel when you do and how much sooner you can start your day. It takes a bit of learning and discipline but getting a handle on waking up properly can do a lot of good with you productivity and general well-being.
