Morning Exercise Can Help Boost Sleep Patterns

Wednesday 14 November 2007 @ 5:20 am

Morning exercise has one more benefit past the obvious fitness and weight loss results it generates: better sleep patterns.

An experiment recently published on the CNN website pointed to  several women with sleeping problems put through a series of morning exercises lasting a mere 15 minutes.   An unprecented 70% improvement in sleep patterns ensued, posing the question: are we really just a bunch of unhealthy individuals?

If a mere 15 minutes of morning exercise is all it takes to see such improvements,  why aren’t we all doing it yet?

Using White Noise To Help You Sleep

Wednesday 11 July 2007 @ 3:46 am

Essentially the combination of all audible sounds over a frequency band, white noise has gained popularity as a sleep aid. The hissing sound kept at moderate levels has helped numerous people both relax and catch slumber.
How does it help sleep:

1. Because it is made up of most available sound frequencies in equal amounts, it is a great way to drown out unwanted noises, basically canceling them and masking their presence.
2. It is a very peaceful sound that is soothing and calming to the ears and minds of humans in a very natural, instinctive way

How to get white noise:

1. Mechanical sources

This includes the sound of a strong electric fan or a mechanical sleep-aid device such as the Sleepmate
2. Electronical sources

The television, when signal is cut off, can generate a soothing white noise as well as radio static. Synthesizers are a favorite source of white noise as well.

3. Pre-recorded sounds

There have been many recordings of soothing white noise, usually in CD or MP3 formats, which is great to play over speakers at home or on portable music players at work or during trips.

Parents Are Sleep-Deprived

Monday 14 May 2007 @ 9:36 am

I would assume all parents are sleep-deprived. I'm not a dad yet but I once took care of my baby nephew for five weeks and it wasn't the greatest. Sure, I don't sleep all that much but all the crying and constant need for attention is tiring as hell. I sleep every other day and, while it was fine the nights I didn't sleep and worked, it was unbearable the nights I did try to. Imagine a young parent who had two babies in 4 years. That's a good 4 years of sleep deprived madness. Remove Hair Hair Away Unwanted Hair Shave Hair Hari Remover Hair Removal Remove Hair Hair Away
